Judy’s approach to Interventions is to conduct Invitational Interventions and focus on the family system along with the individual client.
“In my 15 years as a Certified Addictions Specialist, I have learned that individuals and families need to be recognized and treated with compassion and respect. They need a facilitator and an advocate as they journey through the continuum of care which is recovery and healing. I believe in treating the “whole” client which addresses all instances and issues for the family or individual in order to live their “best” life imaginable.”
Judy’s specialties are based on her 15+ year experience in outpatient treatment of substance abuse, eating disorders, sexual addictions, gambling, depression, and Bi-Polar Disorder. Her client demographics are adults and adolescents age 12 and up. She facilitates group therapy for addictions with an emphasis on substance abuse and eating disorders and she draws her techniques from mindfulness, CBT, DBT, and Psychodrama.
As a young adult, I became aware of addiction issues with family members and friends. Upon obtaining my master degree in psychology, I became aware of severe opiate problems with young adults in my area. This led me to providing addiction services as my passion in helping others recovery and achieve their true goals in life. To support these individuals in change, embracing recovery, and obtaining a quality life that they have never known. Observing and witnessing recovery is a powerful experience and rewarding for all involved and it is my obligation to help them achieve a long lasting recovery for themselves and their families.
